Accomodation and visa

Visitors to Russia generally need entry visas. If you need visa, please submit a duly filled in participant form and a copy of the main page of your passport with the photo to the Local Organizing Committee of the Conference at least three months in advance of the official opening of the Conference. This information will be needed to send you an official invitation letter to the Conference which you will provide with other necessary papers to the Russian Embassy or Consulate in your country while making an official visa application.

At the homepage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia you can find a link to your country’s Embassy or Consulate to download and print the visa application form and know more about the application procedures.

Accomodation

The Organizing Committee has made arrangements for special rate in a new hotel ‘Holiday Inn – Moskovskye Vorota’ where the Conference will be held. If you decide to use this special offer, you are kindly asked to pay for 1 night of your stay in advance when paying the registration fee. So it will be rate of your registration fee + 70euro which includes 1 night of stay. The re-maining of the hotel price is to be paid when checking-in at the hotel.

PLEASE NOTE: THAT SPECIAL RATE IS AVAILABLE ONLY FOR RESERVATIONS MADE BEFORE THE 1st OF MARCH 2010

For further enquiries on visa application feel free to contact the Local Organizing Committee of the Conference. Ms Svetlana Kononova (e-mail: kononova@rshu.ru, tel.: +7 812 444-56-36, fax: +7 812 444-60-90) will help you receiving visa. Feel free to contact her if you have any relevant questions.

Currency

The official currency in Russia is Russian Rouble. There is no limit on the amount of foreign currency that can be brought to Russia. However if you plan to bring more than US$ 10,000 you need to declare the amount at customs.

US dollars and Euros can be changed in banks, exchange offices and international hotels. The current exchange rate is available at the web-site (http://www.cbr.ru/eng). Credit cards are accepted by most hotels and big stores. However we recommend you to check whether the type of a card you have is accepted before you make a purchase.
