IOC will be contributing to EXPO 2010 covering its programme activities in the area of coastal cities and marine natural hazards;
Support has been given to the organization of the International Conference on 50 Year of Education and Awareness Raising for Shaping the Future of the Oceans and Coasts, to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia from 27 to 30 April and to the Global Oceans Conference 2010 to be held in Paris from 3 to 7 May;
Development of the IOC Anniversary information kit has been started with the objective to finalize it by the 8th of June 2010 - the day of official inauguration of the IOC 50th Anniversary;

BFU Cruise 2009

The 17th Baltic Floating University cruise in the framework of the Training-Through-Research program of IOC/TEMA was held onboard the sailing catamaran “Centaurus-II” in the Eastern part of the Gulf of Finland (Baltic Sea).
